Fail Forward ---Don’t Quit—Don’t Give Up!

How often do you look back the decisions you have made and wish you could have a do over? If there are quite a few, you are not alone. I don't know how many times, I've looked at the past and thought "if I knew then what I know now." And the truth is it's difficult to see all the angles at the time you are making the decision. Especially if the decision or issue is an emotionally charged. Especially if the failure impacts you personally or professionally. Or even more especially financially.

Truth is no-one can truly predict the future and generally they can't even give you a do-over. But you can definitely have a next-time I will. You can definitely fail forward. Wherever you are today, you have chance to do it better. To do more. To be more. To have more.

So what if it didn't work yesterday. Failing forward means, I learned how to do it better next time. If I'm willing to go forward from my mistake. If I'm willing to look back at my mistakes and say "Okay, so that didn't work, but there are some changes that I can make it that will make it better next time."

So believe me, the pain you feel from making a mistake is the best part. Change doesn't happen in a comfortable space.

Fail forward.

Use that failure. Do what works to move you forward from the reflections of those failed attempts. Use them as stepping stones to move higher.

Get back up. Be reflective. Do the work. Study your failures and learn from them. Don't run away from them. All too often when we fail our prides causes us to turn away from our dreams, our visions, and our goals; but the truth is that pain of the failure is really the energy your need to propel you forward.

Transform that pain. Use it as fuel. Write down your goals. Keep them in front of you. Do you feel like quitting? Please don't let that failure erase your dream. Let it fuel you.

Failures can teach you if you only fail forward.
